Nick Reiner Charged With First-Degree Murder

BRENTWOOD—On Tuesday, December 16, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced that Nick Reiner was charged with murdering his father, actor Rob Reiner, and mother, Michele Singer Reiner. The prosecutors filed two counts of first-degree murder with special circumstances.

According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney, Nathan Hochman, Nick is also charged with a special allegation of using a knife. If convicted, Nick Reiner could receive a sentence of either life in prison without the possibility of parole or the death sentence.

The prosecutors claim that Nick stabbed both of his parents with a knife at their house which is located in the 200 block of South Chadbourne Avenue in Brentwood, Los Angeles early Sunday morning.

Nick is being held in Twin Towers Jail. He has been placed under special supervision as he is considered to be a suicide risk. Reiner is being represented by former Los Angeles County Prosecutor Alan Jackson.

D4vd Forced To Cancel European And UK Tour

  LOS ANGELES—David Anthony Burke is a pop and R&B singer who performs and records under the name D4vd. For the last few weeks, he has been the subject of an investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department after the remains of a dead body were found in a Tesla vehicle that was abandoned in the Hollywood Hills, and which was also owned by the singer. Now he has been forced to cancel his planned tour of Europe and the United Kingdom. As part of his Withered 2025 World Tour, which started in August of 2025, D4vd planned to perform in cities such as Amsterdam, Paris, Dublin, Berlin, and Vienna. Still, all of the planned performance dates have been cancelled, and the same applies to his scheduled performances in Canadian cities such as Toronto. The body that was found in D4vd has been identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as being Celeste Rivas Hernandez, and how her body ended up in the singer’s Tesla is still under investigation. Jennifer Lopez Purchases Mansion in Beverly Hills

BEVERLY HILLS—In 2023, Jennifer Lopez, known for her musical career and appearances in films such as Hustlers, Maid in Manhattan, and The Wedding Planner, split from her husband Ben Affleck and put her home in Beverly Hills on the market. Now she has purchased a new mansion in Beverly Hills.

This new mansion is located one hour from the neighborhood in which she used to live. It spans 8,600 square feet and is situated on a two-acre plot. This building features five bedrooms and eight bathrooms, and it also contains many luxury amenities, including a home theater and a massage parlor.

The divorce between Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez was finalized in January 2025. She bought the mansion they purchased in 2022 on the real estate Market last July, and it can be bought for $68 million.

Jessica Alba Buys Massive Mansion

BEVERLY HILLS—The actress Jessica Alba, who played Susan Storm in the first two Fantastic Four films and appeared in the movie Sin City, as well as starred in the television show Dark Angel, recently purchased a mansion in Beverly Hills. The cost of this home is $4.75 million.

The actress’s new home is located in the heart of Beverly Hills. It is a Spanish-style estate, and the design blends modern elements with colonial architecture and Mediterranean designs. Jessica Alba’s mansion spans 5,000 square feet, and it includes four bedrooms and five bathrooms. Among the architectural features in the home’s design are arched doorways and terracotta roof tiles.

Blake Griffin Buys Brentwood Mansion For $5.9 Million

BRENTWOOD—NBA player Blake Griffin, who currently plays for the Detroit Pistons has purchased a mansion in Brentwood for about $5.9 million. The 31-year-old Oklahoma native bought the property from Jordana Leigh, the represented seller working with Rodeo Realty, while Ron Smith and David Berg from Smith & Berg Partners at Compass represented Griffin in the transaction.

The home has 5 bedrooms, 5.5 baths and is 5,893 square feet and sites on a 0.53 acre lot. It is 155.59 percent more expensive than other properties in the region, with the median price being $2,299,000. The single family home was built in 1936 and costs $997 per square foot.

The home has a  kitchen furnished with Brazilian granite, custom cabinets, a Viking range, Bosch dishwashers, and a family room with a fireplace and tall windows. Off the living room are media and billiard rooms. Additionally, there is a private terrace and covered seating with another fireplace.

The pool has a waterfall along with a spa. The guest suite has its own patio overlooking the area, and the upstairs has a grand master bedroom with another fireplace and three walk-in closets. Other amenities include a gym, a place to play pool, and wine cellar.

Griffin started playing in the NBA with the Los Angeles Clippers in 2009. He was signed to the Detroit Pistons in 2018. Some most notable achievements include the John R. Wooden Award (2009), the NBA Rookie of the Year Award (2011), the NBA All Rookie Team (2011), and Best Breakthrough Athlete in 2011 at the ESPY Awards.
