Nick Reiner Charged With First-Degree Murder

BRENTWOOD—On Tuesday, December 16, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced that Nick Reiner was charged with murdering his father, actor Rob Reiner, and mother, Michele Singer Reiner. The prosecutors filed two counts of first-degree murder with special circumstances.

According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney, Nathan Hochman, Nick is also charged with a special allegation of using a knife. If convicted, Nick Reiner could receive a sentence of either life in prison without the possibility of parole or the death sentence.

The prosecutors claim that Nick stabbed both of his parents with a knife at their house which is located in the 200 block of South Chadbourne Avenue in Brentwood, Los Angeles early Sunday morning.

Nick is being held in Twin Towers Jail. He has been placed under special supervision as he is considered to be a suicide risk. Reiner is being represented by former Los Angeles County Prosecutor Alan Jackson.
