GRIFFITH PARK—On Friday, October 24, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported an automobile fire in Griffith Park. The incident was reported at 7:39 p.m. on Eastbound 134 freeway.

Three conventional fuel vehicles on the top rack of an auto hauler caught fire (unknown source of ignition). The bulk of the fire was knocked down quickly by the 12 firefighters on scene.

The Forrest Lawn off ramp was closed for an unknown period of time due to the now disable big rig blocking lanes. The California Highway Patrol was on scene directing traffic, but there were long delays on the EB 134 freeway. There were no reports of any injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
