LAUREL CANYON—On Wednesday, June 4, detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department Valley Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in locating the driver of a vehicle that was involved in a hit-and-run traffic collision that left a 52-year-old woman severely injured.

The LAPD reported on June 1 around 11:15 p.m., a dark colored SUV traveling south on Laurel Canyon Boulevard near Moorpark Street collided into two parked vehicles on the street, as well as two pedestrians who were standing beside the parked vehicles, severely injuring one of them.

The driver failed to stop and fled the scene traveling southbound on Laurel Canyon Boulevard.

The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived to the scene and transported the severely injured pedestrian to a local hospital for treatment. The other pedestrian was not transported to a hospital and refused further treatment at scene.

The suspected vehicle involved in the hit-and-run is described as a dark colored SUV (possibly blue, or dark blue) with visible traffic collision damage located to the front right area of the vehicle.

Drivers are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.

Anyone with details about the incident should contact Valley Traffic Detective Ramirez at (818) 644-8025. During non-business hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (877-527-3247).
