Victims Of Christopher James Ramstead Wanted By LAPD

TOPANGA CANYON—On Monday, February 9, the Los Angeles Police Department announced that the Juvenile Division, Abused Child Section, is asking for the public’s help in identifying additional victims after the arrest of Christopher James Ramstead, 47, in connection with child molestation allegations.

The LAPD reported on Friday, February 6, detectives re-arrested Ramstead, a resident of Thousand Oaks, on charges related to an ongoing criminal investigation that started in Ventura County. He was re-arrested on a Felony Warrant issued for violating California Penal Code section 288(a) — Lewd Acts with a Minor Under 14 Years of Age (Booking No. 7177549).

Ramstead was previously arrested on February 4, for crimes against children that were believed to have occurred in Los Angeles County and was later released on bail. Investigators suspect there may be additional, unidentified victims.

These cases were sent to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. After reviewing the evidence, the District Attorney’s Office filed 9 counts of Penal Code section 288(a) — Lewd Acts with a Minor Under 14 Years of Age — against Ramstead. Bail has now been set at No Bail, and as of February 6, Ramstead was still in custody.

He pleaded not guilty during his arraignment, and a bail hearing is scheduled for February 13 in Department 112 of the Van Nuys Courthouse. At the prosecutors’ request, the Court ordered the defendant be held without bail.

Ramstead is a firefighter/paramedic with the Pasadena Fire Department and holds the rank of captain. The alleged abuse occurred during various time frames between March 2003 and July 2025.

If convicted as charged, he faces 135 years to life in state prison. Detectives are asking anyone who may be a victim or has additional information regarding Christopher Ramstead to contact Juvenile Division detectives at (818) 374-5415.

Victims Of Julius Czar Francisco Asked To Come Forward

TOPANGA CANYON—On Monday, February 2, detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Topanga Division are seeking the public’s help to identify additional victims following a sexual assault investigation.

On January 15, a 23-year-old female reported she had been sexually assaulted while receiving medical treatment in the San Fernando Valley. The suspect in the investigation was identified as Julius Czar Francisco, 33.

On January 16, around 5:50 p.m., officers with the Los Angeles Police Department Topanga Division located and arrested Francisco near the 12300 block of Osborne Street in Pacoima. He was booked for 261(a)(2), Rape by Force, under Booking Number 716374. He is currently out on bond.

Due to the nature of the assault, detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Topanga Division Sexual Assault Unit believe there are unreported victims of Francisco.

Additional Victims Of Sexual Assault Suspect David Lopes Wanted

HOLLYWOOD—On Wednesday, November 12, detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department Juvenile Division-Stuart House indicated they are asking the public for help in identifying more victims of sexual assault.

The LAPD reported on November 6, Josue Lopes (also known as David Lopez), 37, of Los Angeles, was arrested in the Westlake area. Lopes were identified as a suspect in the kidnapping and sexual assault of a minor female in the Hollywood region. He was taken into custody and booked for sexual assault (booking #7122917).

This is an ongoing investigation involving cooperation between detectives from the LAPD’s Juvenile Division-Stuart House Unit and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office Sex Crime Unit. Detectives believe there may be additional unidentified victims due to the brazen and serious nature of the assault.

BH Doctor Charged With Sexual Assault

BEVERLY HILLS—On Thursday, January 2, the LADA’s Office disclosed that Beverly Hills physician Babak Hajhosseini, 42, is charged with sexually assaulting a woman in the city of Los Angeles on August 18.

Hajhosseini is charged in case 24CJCF07892 with two felony counts of rape by use of drugs; one felony count of rape of an unconscious or asleep person; one felony count of oral copulation by anesthesia or controlled substance; three felony counts of oral copulation of an unconscious or asleep person; and one felony count of sodomy of an unconscious person.

He was arrested on November 26 by the Los Angeles Police Department. At an arraignment on December 27, Hajhosseini pleaded not guilty to all charges. A preliminary hearing setting is scheduled for February 13 in Dept. 50 of the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center.

He is currently out on a $2,175,000 bond. If convicted as charged, the defendant faces a maximum sentence of 34 years in prison. The case is being prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Alexander Lara of the Sex Crimes Division and investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department.
