Repair Cafe On October 4

SANTA MONICA—On Sunday, September 28, the city of Santa Monica posted on its Facebook page that it will be hosting a Repair Cafe on Saturday, October 4.

Items can be brought to the Westside Repair Café at the Marine Park Auditorium from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1406 Marine Street.

What to Bring for Repair:

-Clothing (limit 3 items per family)
-Phones & computers
-Wood & ceramics – gluing
-Jewelry
-Small appliances (limit 3 items per family)

What to Bring to Share:

-Clothing swap – bring clothing in good condition
-Food /snacks – potluck
-General items for free – be prepared to take back items not taken by the end of the event.

Other Services Provided:

-Hair trimming
-Guitar Lessons (from 1-4 p.m.) – No need to bring your own instrument.
-Gardening advice – Participants can bring leaf samples or pests in sealed bags to help with diagnosis.
-Arts & crafts

Bring your items to be repaired by volunteers and be prepared to wait for volunteer availability for repairs.

The Repair Café will stop taking new repair requests for small appliances, electronics, and clothing around 3 p.m. to ensure earlier requests can be filled. There may be additional repairs added to the event.
