Broadway Repaving And Road Improvements

SANTA MONICA—On Sunday, January 11, the city of Santa Monica posted on its Facebook page that Santa Monica is improving Broadway from Ocean Avenue to 26th Street as part of the Broadway Protected Bikeway Project.

Work Dates:
-Phase 1 Improvements Broadway: Ocean Ave. to 9th – St. January-February 2026
-Roadway paving dates: January 27 – January 30, 2026
-Phase 2 Improvements Broadway: 9th St. to 26th St. – April 2026

Roadway paving dates:
-9th Street to Euclid Street: March 9 – March 10, 2026
-Euclid Street to 16th Street: March 10 – March 11, 2026
-19th Court to 26th Street: March 12 – March 13, 2026

Individuals should be aware that the start and completion time/date of construction may be delayed due to unforeseen conditions and weather. There will be lane closures and parking restrictions. Motorists should follow posted signs and temporary traffic control.

Sidewalk replacement began January 5 on Broadway between Ocean Avenue and Lincoln Boulevard and continues between Broadway and Wilshire Boulevard on: Ocean Avenue, 2nd St., 4th St., 5th St., 7th St., and Lincoln Boulevard. Sidewalk work is expected to be completed by mid-April 2026
