Apartment Fire Extinguished By LAFD

SHERMAN OAKS—On Saturday, December 27, the Los Angeles Fire Department announced they extinguished an apartment fire that transpired in Sherman Oaks at a 4-story modern apartment building.

The fire was reported at 6:10 p.m. at 15024 W Moorpark St. A total of 52 firefighters located a fire smoldering in the wall adjacent to a fireplace chimney.

Within 36 minutes, units were able to open up the wall and contain the fire, with no spread to adjoining units. There were no reports of any injuries, the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
