LAFD Battle House Fire On N. Owensmouth Avenue

WOODLAND HILLS—On Sunday, July 19, the Los Angeles Fire Department announced that it battled a house fire.

The fire was reported at 6:41 p.m. at 5720 N. Owensmouth Avenue. LAFD units were on scene staging for LAPD on a police standby. The incident has been upgraded to a structure, fire and additional fire companies requested.

Shots are being fired and heavy smoke from the two-story townhome with three units. The middle unit is involved with fire. Firefighters are in a defensive stance at this time Owens mouth IC. No additional details about the cause of the fire have been disclosed to the public.

The LAFD battled an attic fire in Sherman Oaks on Sunday. That fire was reported at 2:30 p.m. at 4129 N. Knobhill Drive. The Department of Building and Safety and the Department of Water and Power notified and requested.

The LAFD continuing to operate in the offensive mode. The Department of Transportation requested for traffic control. There were no injuries and no patients at this time. The cause of the fire is undetermined. Approximately 31 firefighters extinguished the fire within 44 minutes of the 911 call by 3:14 p.m.
