HOLLYWOOD HILLS—On Sunday, July 13, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported a brush fire was reported in the Hollywood Hills at 11:47 a.m. The fire was located at 3026 Runyon Canyon Road. LAFD air and ground resources are coordinating an attack on a 1/4-acre brush fire in Runyon Canyon — slow rate of spread, approximately 100 feet from a paved road.

By 12:25 p.m., the LAFD reported that approximately 53 firefighters on the ground fully extinguished all active flames and remained on scene for mop up. Air resources assisted with water drops ahead of the flame front and have now been released from the incident.

The cause of the brush fire is still under investigation.
