Topanga Canyon Blvd. Reopens From Grandview To PCH

MALIBU—On Monday, January 5, the city of Malibu posted on its Facebook page that Topanga Canyon Boulevard has reopened from Grandview to Pacific Coast Highway.

Topanga Canyon Boulevard reopened from Grand View Drive to Pacific Coast Highway following a closure due to rainstorms, rockfall and debris flows. The highway reopened shortly after 11:30 a.m. Monday after workers finished clearing debris flows and rockfall from weekend rainstorms.

Caltrans closed the highway just before midnight on Friday night ahead of expected storms for safety.

The stretch of Topanga Canyon 27 is now reopened to the public with previous restrictions. It remains an active work zone for ongoing recovery efforts from the Palisades Fire and winter storms. It is closed from midnight to 5 a.m. daily and has traffic restrictions including a one-way traffic control section south of the Topanga town center, and a 25 MPH speed limit, no parking, no stopping and no pedestrians allowed in the work zones.

Expect delays and drive cautiously, watching for workers and work vehicles. Fines can be doubled in a work zone.

Road Closure At Southbound Lincoln Blvd.

SANTA MONICA—The city of Santa Monica announced on its Facebook page on January 18 that S. Lincoln Boulevard at Colorado Avenue will be closed on Monday, January 20 as construction work takes place. The work will be done from 4:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The closure is necessary for emergency repairs to a crane at one of the construction zones on Lincoln Boulevard.

This is a high traffic area. Use alternate routes and avoid the area if possible and follow onsite traffic controllers’ direction.

CHP Announces Topanga Canyon Blvd. Closure

MALIBU—The city of Malibu posted on its Facebook page that the California Highway Patrol announced that Topanga Canyon Boulevard will be closed to non-residents from Mullholland Drive to Pacific Coast Highway Wednesday, November 6 through Friday, November 8 until 6 a.m.

Due to the current Red Flag Warning with extreme fire danger (strong Santa Ana winds/low humidity). Motorists are asked to seek alternate routes.

The Red Flag Warning, extreme fire danger from Wednesday through Thursday due to high winds. Owners of horses & livestock should consider leaving the area early. Large animal emergency shelter is at Pierce College.

There will be possible power outages possible in most of Malibu on November 6 and November 7 due to extreme fire danger (high wind). Individuals are warned to beware of dark traffic signal on Pacific Coast Highway. Drivers should come to a COMPLETE STOP at all malfunctioning traffic signals under California law and watch out for vehicles not stopping at the signals.

Collison On PCH Causes Road Closure And Minor Injuries

MALIBU—On Tuesday, April 25, a traffic collision occurred on Pacific Coast Highway near Rambla Pacifico Street in Malibu.

According to a witness, a white truck was making a left turn into a gas station and collided with a silver SUV. Minor injuries were reported but it is currently unclear which party was injured.

One lane of PCH is closed in each direction at Rambla Pacifico Street while LA County Fire Department and sheriffs are on the scene investigating. Southbound lanes are merging into one and delays are expected.

The city of Malibu announced the road closures around 9 a.m.
