BEVERLY HILLS—FBI agents raided a Beverly Hills mansion on Tuesday, July 28, at approximately 1:30 p.m. The property, located at 613 N. Canon Drive, is the former home of the Barzani family, one of Iraqi Kurdistan’s most politically powerful families.

According to online property records, the roughly 21,000-square-foot mansion has 8 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms and is currently owned by a family from mainland China, who purchased the property in 2023 for $24.6 million.

Officers were spotted walking around the backyard by a local news helicopter. It appeared they were conducting a search warrant and collecting evidence as part of an investigation.

FBI spokesperson Laura Eimiller did not provide any further details. The reason for the raid remains unknown because the warrant is under seal and the investigation is active. More information is expected to be released in the near future.

The baby was found safe, and the mother was taken into custody at the Los Angeles County Jail. According to reports, the CHP initiated the Amber Alert for Almeda, San Joaquin, Kern, and Los Angeles counties indicating that the infant had been abducted.
