West Hollywood City Hall Closed On Labor Day

WEST HOLLYWOOD—The city of West Hollywood announced City Hall will be closed on Monday, September 7, for Labor Day. The city will not enforce some of its parking regulations including street sweeping, towing restrictions during peak traffic hours, and the use of parking meters and street-parking time limits. West Hollywood will also enforce its remaining normal parking rules, including permit parking.

Those who want to obtain visitor parking permits can do so at the garage located on Kings Road. On Tuesday, September 8, West Hollywood will resume enforcing all of the city’s parking rules.

Max Subin Sworn In As Beverley Hills Police Chief

BEVERLY HILLS—On August 10, the city of Beverly Hills announced that Max Subin had been sworn at Beverly Hills City Hall as the new Beverly Hills Police Chief.

Chief Subin joined the BHPD in 1999 and served as a police officer for 27 years. His earliest assignments were in the department’s Patrol Division, before later serving in the Detective Bureau. He later led the Community Relations Unit and served as the Detective Bureau Commander. In 2021, he was promoted to Captain. On June 27, he was named the new Chief of the Beverly Hills Police Department.

Before joining the BHPD, Subin was an Explorer Scout in Santa Monica and a cadet in the Santa Monica Police Department.
His swearing-in ceremony was attended by members of the Beverly Hills City Council, police officers, and residents of Beverly Hills.

WeHo City Hall Closed November 24-25

WEST HOLLYWOOD—In observance of the Thanksgiving Day holiday, West Hollywood City Hall will be closed on Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28.

The following parking regulations will not be enforced on Thursday, November 27.

-Parking meters and associated time limits.
-Peak hour towing restrictions.
-Street sweeping.

Permit parking and all other parking regulations will be enforced. The enforcement of all parking regulations will resume on Friday, November 28. Visitor parking permits may be obtained at the Kings Road Parking garage.

City Hall Closed, Parking Enforcement For Independence Day

West Hollywood City Hall will be closed for Independence Day.

WEST HOLLYWOOD—The city of West Hollywood announced on its website that in observance of Independence Day, West Hollywood City Hall will be closed on Thursday, July 4.

Visitor parking permits may be obtained at the Kings Road Parking garage. The following parking regulations will not be enforced on Thursday, July 4:

-Parking Meters and associated time limits
-Peak Hour Towing Restrictions
-Street Sweeping

Permit Parking and all other parking regulations will be enforced. The enforcement of all parking regulations will resume on Friday, July 5.

West Hollywood City Hall Closed New Year’s Day

WEST HOLLYWOOD—The city of West Hollywood indicated on its website that City Hall will be closed on Monday, January 1, 2024 in honor of New Year’s Day.

The following parking regulations will not be enforced on January 1, 2024.
-Parking Meters and associated time limits
-Peak Hour Towing Restrictions
-Street Sweeping

Permit Parking and all other parking regulations will be enforced The enforcement of all parking regulations will resume on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

Visitor parking permits may be obtained at the Kings Road Parking garage.

Malibu City Hall Winter Holiday Closures

MALIBU—The city of Malibu announced that city offices will be closed starting Friday, December 22 thru Monday, January 1, 2024. The period is designated for staff to spend quality time with their loved ones.

While city offices will be closed limited city services will be available during this time to ensure that any urgent matters are addressed promptly.

Limited Services: While some city services will be available, such as Code Enforcement and Building Safety Inspections, there will be a decrease in staffing levels, and response times may be longer than usual. The last day to submit Special Event Permits or Temporary Use Permits in 2023 will be December 21.

Emergency Services: Emergency services, including Los Angeles County Fire and Sherriff’s Departments, will operate as usual to ensure the safety and well-being of our community. Public Safety monitoring and alerts will continue.

City Programs and Events: Limited programs will be available at the Michael Landon Community Center. Visit the Community Services Department webpage for more information.

Public Counter Hours

The Planning and Building Safety Online Portal will be unavailable for plan review or permit submittal requests from December 21, 2023, 5:30 p.m. through January 2, 2024, 7:30 a.m. For Planning and permit expirations, email mplanning@malibucity.org or mbuilding@malibucity.org prior to the expiration date. City appeal periods will be tolled to accommodate the closure. The Malibu Municipal Code prohibits construction of any kind on City holidays MMC 8.24.050(G) which includes Christmas and New Year’s Day.
