Terrence Allen Arrested For Rolex Theft

SANTA MONICA—A suspect has been arrested by the Santa Monica Police Department who attempted to steal a $40,000 Rolex from the Rolex store located on 159 Santa Monica Place.

On August 21, the SMPD arrived to the Rolex store for a robbery in progress. During the robbery, multiple employees activated emergency alarms, triggering a police response. While officers were enroute, Santa Monica Dispatchers relayed that onsite security were attempting to detain the suspect who was combative during the process.

Upon arrival, officers took Terrence Allen, 26, of Florida, into custody.  During the investigation, officers learned that Allen entered the store, requested to view a watch valued at $40,000 and once in hand, he tried to flee. Allen encountered armed security stationed outside and after a brief struggle the property was recovered.

Allen was booked into the Santa Monica Jail and later charged by the Los Angeles District Attorney with armed robbery (211PC) and Grand Theft (487PC). Bail was set at $125,000.  The suspect was found to be wanted for a robbery out of the state of Georgia.

Attempted Murder Suspects Wanted By LAPD

WEST HOLLYWOOD—Detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery Homicide Division are asking for the public’s assistance to locate an attempted murder suspect they announced on August 4. The LAPD reported that on April 16, 2022, at 2:35 a.m., a victim was followed from Hyde Sunset nightclub to their vehicle located on the 8200 block of Sunset Boulevard.

The victim was approached by two suspects armed with firearms, while by his vehicle. The suspect fired a gunshot hitting the victim during the attempted robbery. No property was taken from the victim during the incident. Both suspects got in a 2004-2012 BMW 3-Series sedan, black or dark colored, before fleeing the scene. The vehicle has 5-spoke wheels, no front license plate and possible damage or malfunction to the passenger side taillight.

A $50,000 reward is being offered leading to the identity, arrest and prosecution of the individuals involved in the incident. The suspects have been described as two Black males. No details on age or descriptions of clothing have been disclosed to the public.

Search For Attempted Robbery Suspect

HOLLYWOOD HILLS—An attempted strong-armed robbery occurred at 5007 West Sunset Boulevard, near Kaiser Permanente, on Thursday, May 25. Canyon News spoke with Los Angeles Police Department’s Officer Moore who confirmed that authorities are still searching for the suspect. 

According to Officer Moore, at 6:33 a.m. a crime broadcast was sent out that a suspect – described as a Black male, 35-40 years old, black hair and brown eyes, wearing a beige hooded sweatshirt and black pants. The suspect attempted to rob an undisclosed victim. The suspect was last seen on foot heading westbound on Sunset Boulevard.

No weapon was used during the incident.

Personnel with the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the scene to render aid to the victim. There are no details as to whether they transported the victim to the hospital to be treated for any injuries.
