Malibu Volunteers On Patrol Bill Melcher Recognized

MALIBU—On August 24, the Malibu City Council recognized Bill Melcher, a member of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Malibu Volunteers on Patrol organization.
Earlier in August, he helped locate a driver on the Pacific Coast Highway suspected of driving under the influence and helped apprehend the driver. His actions helped remove the driver from the highway and helped prevent an incident.
Melcher is also a third-year student at Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law. The city of Malibu thanked Melcher for his service and his actions.
