Public Library Community Discount Program Helps Local Businesses

SANTA MONICA—The city of Santa Monica announced on its website on October 7 that after the Santa Monica Public Library Community Discount Program last month it continues to connect the Santa Monica Public Library’s 53,000 cardholders with discounts and offers at 20 popular Santa Monica businesses.

Patrons can show their library card at various local businesses offering discounts and offers for entertainment, fitness classes, dog training, coffee, wine, dining and more:

-Amai Coffee – 10 percent off all drinks
-Broad Stage – Special SMPL Rush Ticket offer: 15 percent off tickets (some exclusions apply)
-Casa Martin Mexican Restaurant – 15 percent off total bill, excluding happy hour, lunch special, or any other discount specials
-CoTo Imports – 10 percent off all bags
-Crow Comedy – 15 percent off of tickets for house shows (Read the Room, Cabaret at the Crow, Pull My Finger, BYOB, Murder at the Crow, Live at the Crow)
-Dr. T House – 15 percent off all drinks or free extra topping
-FIT4MOM Santa Monica – five classes for $75 or 20 percent off Unlimited Membership for new members
-Fitoor Indian Grill & Lounge – 10 percent off entire purchase ($25 maximum discount)
-Good Body Pilates Studio – three group reformer classes $99 (a $36 savings for first-time clients) or three private sessions $295 (a $60 savings for first-time clients)
-Illusion Magic Lounge – 15 percent off tickets for Magic by the Sea shows
-Junior Cookies – Two complimentary chocolate chip cookies with any purchase when you sign up for the Junior Cookies Loyalty Program
-Love at First Sit | People’s Dog Training – $10 off any pet care service or 6-week group dog training class; one-time only for first-time clients with code SMPL10
-Luke’s Lobster – 10 percent off entire purchase
-Offhand Wine Bar – 10 percent off entire purchase
-Santa Monica History Museum – 50 percent off admission during regular public hours
-Shake Shack – 10 percent off entire purchase
-Socalo – 10 percent off food, beer, and wine
-Solidarity Restaurant – 15 percent off entire purchase
-Sweet Lady Jane – 15 percent off cake slice with purchase of Cafe Menu item
-Turn Dough – 15 percent off all menu items

The program launched as part of September’s Library Card Sign-up Month and is available through August 31, 2026.

“We’re thrilled this program continues to grow and strengthen the relationship between our library, our patrons and the vibrant local business community,” said Santa Monica Public Library Director Erica Cuyugan. “It’s a meaningful way to connect residents with our wide range of library resources while also encouraging them to invest in the businesses that help our city thrive.”

To apply for a Santa Monica Public Library card online or apply in-person by visiting the Main Library, Pico Branch or Montana Branch during open hours.

Businesses interested in participating are invited to complete an interest form by November 30, 2025.
