BRENTWOOD—On Sunday, January 12, at approximately 4:40 a.m. Vice President Kamala Harris’s U.S. Secret Service detail and Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) deputies responded to a call of a burglary at the home of VP Harris, and Second-gentleman, Doug Emhoff. No one was at home at the time of the call.

Reports indicate that the two men dressed in all black were initially detained for being out after curfew in the evacuation zone of Pacific Palisades. They were then questioned by officers and released as there was no evidence of foul play.

Harris and Emhoff have several homes. The home in Brentwood is approximately 3,500 square feet. Zillow estimates the home’s value at $5 million.

Harris acquired her loft, which is a condo. in the South of Market area of San Francisco after she became Attorney General in 2004.

While in Washington D.C. the second couple has two homes. One is the same home located at the U.S. Naval Observatory on, One Observatory Circle. This is the same home that most Vice Presidents have lived in since Walter Mondale in 1974.

The second home is a 1,700-square-foot apartment Harris secured during her first term in the U.S. Senate. This lush property includes a rooftop pool, full-time concierge, fitness center, and housekeeping.
