HOLLYWOOD HILLS—On Saturday, September 19, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported that a patient had to be rescued off the redline track at the Hollywood and Highland Redline station. The incident was reported at 12:58 p.m. located at 6815 W. Hollywood Blvd.
Fire companies responded to a report of one patient on the redline track at the Hollywood and Highland Redline station. Once firefighters arrived on scene, they were able to quickly extricate the patient off of the tracks to a safe location. Patient is currently being evaluated and prepared for transport to a local hospital.
No firefighter injuries were reported at this time. The events leading up to the patient falling down onto the tracks are unknown at this time. The Rail Operations Center was contacted, and the tracks were temporarily de-energized and traffic on the tracks were shut down during the rescue. The Rail Operations Center has since reopened the tracks.
