405 Traffic Collision Kills One Person

BEL AIR—On Monday, September 7, the Los Angeles Fire Department noted one person was killed after a traffic collision on the 405 freeway.

The incident was reported at 2:33 p.m. on the northbound 405 freeway where five vehicles were involved in a collision. One person was determined beyond medical help and pronounced deceased on the scene. The name and age of the victim have not been disclosed to the public.

Paramedics assessed one additional patient with minor injuries. Crews with the LAFD remained on scene in coordination with the Los Angeles Police Department. Traffic on the northbound 405 traffic was impacted, and motorists were encouraged to employ alternate routes. No official details on the cause of the crash have been disclosed to the public.
