BEVERLY HILLS—On Thursday, December 18, the city of Beverly Hills reported that SoCalGas crews were conducting a leak investigation on Sunset Boulevard identified a natural gas leak originating from a valve on a 3-inch medium-pressure main.

SoCalGas crews had to work to mitigate the leak and complete final repairs. All westbound lanes on Sunset Boulevard between Foothill and Alpine remain closed, while one eastbound lane remained open, as work continued. All lanes were reopened by Friday, December 19.

Residents and business in the area may smell a natural gas odor while crews make repairs. The Beverly Hills Fire Department is also on scene.

Customers should call 1-800-427-2200 if they experience a service disruption or suspect a natural gas leak.
