Driver Killed After Collision With Bus

WEST HOLLYWOOD—Early in the morning on Friday, October 17, a Metro bus collided with a yellow Mustang on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood.  As a result of the collision, the driver of the Mustang was killed. There was also a second person in the Mustang who was injured in the collision and was sent to the hospital to receive medical treatment, but their condition is unknown at this time. This collision happened around 1 a.m. on October 17. According to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, the mustang was traveling at a high velocity. It is unknown what events led to the collision occurring between the metro bus and the Mustang, or if anyone who was traveling on the bus was injured at this time, but the investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing. Santa Monica Boulevard is closed as the investigation continues.   — By Daniel Diquinzio
