Woman Stabbed During West Hollywood Brawl

WEST HOLLYWOOD—On September 14, Maritza Gonzalez was stabbed during a large brawl that occurred on Santa Monica Boulevard, around 3:30 in the morning, which involved between 20 and 30 people. According to the police, Maritza Gonzalez remains in the hospital. During the ongoing investigation, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has identified a person of interest who they believe to be the one responsible for the stabbing.  That person has been detained by the police for questioning and is cooperating with the investigation. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has yet to press charges in this case, as the office believes further investigation is necessary.
