Turf Replacements Begin At Two Dog Parks

WEST HOLLYWOOD—On September 3, the city of West Hollywood announced that turf replacements were underway at two dog parks at West Hollywood Park.

The city will start the turf replacement project and complete other necessary repairs at the large dog park and small dog park at West Hollywood Park, located at 647 N. San Vicente Boulevard. Project work will begin on Monday, September 8, and is anticipated to take two weeks, with final completion expected on Monday, September 22.

The project will be phased into two parts with work occurring first at the large dog park from Monday, September 8 at 6 a.m. through Monday, September 15 at 6 a.m. followed by the small dog park from Monday, September 15 at 6 a.m. through Monday, September 22 at 6 a.m. Each dog park is expected to be closed and offline for one week. Patrons are advised to plan accordingly. West Hollywood’s dog off-leash area rules, which are posted at all dog park locations, remain in effect.

Closure signs will be posted in advance at the affected locations. The William S. Hart Park Dog Park will be open during these closures, located at 8341 De Longpre Avenue. The dog park location welcomes dogs of all sizes and there is no specific separation for small dogs.
