July 19, 2025 ·

The famous Beverly Hills sign.

BEVERLY HILLS—If you ever wanted to learn what it is like to be a member of the government of Beverly Hills or know how the day-to-day operations of the city work, then you can do so by applying to become a member of a special team known as the Beverly Hills team. This is a special program run by the city that was started in 1996 and allows residents to experience the operations of the city government through a mixture of interacting with city departments and taking classes, touring government facilities and watching presentations and engaging in networking events. All graduates of this program will be recognized for their work.

Applications are now open for this program. The deadline is August 15 at 5 p.m. This program will run from 2025 through March 2026.

Be warned this program is competitive. Only 50 applicants will be selected. Of those two will be students at Beverly Hills Unified School District, 30 applicants will be chosen by the City Council, and the final 18 will be chosen by lottery. Another five applicants will be chosen by the Beverly Hills Business Community.

Applications can be submitted online through the website https://www.beverlyhills.org/309/Team-Beverly-Hills

Also, further information can be found on the Team Beverly Hills website or by sending an email to teambh@beverlyhills.org.
